In this video, we follow Burmese model Chaw as she takes a walk through two neighborhoods in Yangon – one for the wealthy and one for the poor. As she travels through the rich neighborhood, we see empty streets lined with high-wall mansions topped with barb wire, showcasing the stark contrast between these two communities. In contrast, the poor neighborhood is vibrant and full of life, with busy streets and street food stands. As Chaw sits down to enjoy some food in the poor neighborhood, we get a sense of the contrast in lifestyles between these two areas and the vast wealth gap that exists in Yangon.
